AUSTRALIA
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) allow the import of medication when accompanied with a letter from an Australian doctor. The letter must state the quantity, the strength, and the form of medication. As a result, this shows they are aware of what is being imported.
Naltrexone is already available on prescription by addiction specialists in Australia, so we appreciate that a doctor may not be willing to provide a letter of confirmation. However, we are also able to prescribe and send nalmefene. Nalmefene is not processed through the liver, so may be suitable for those with early liver damage diagnosis.

JAPAN
Naltrexone and nalmefene are not currently listed on any prohibited list of medications for importing into Japan. Therefore, it is permitted to import for personal use only, subject to the completion of the correct documentation.
When your shipment arrives in Japan, customs officers will advise you IF you need to complete a ‘Yunyo Kakunin-sho’, which is a type of import certificate, before they forward the package on to you.

NEW ZEALAND
Medsafe allow the import of medication to:
- Your doctor’s surgery address for you to collect, or
- To your home, if you doctor provides a letter of confirmation to accompany the parcel. The letter must state the quantity, the strength, and the form of medication. The letter shows they are aware of what is being imported.

Private individuals may import a medication into Sri Lanka if the medication is not already registered, or available, in Sri Lanka.
Naltrexone is already registered. However, nalmefene is not. Therefore, we will be able to provide a medical consultation and the shipment of nalmefene to Sri Lanka.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Naltrexone is a controlled/restricted drug in UAE. As a result, you will require a permit from the Arab Ministry of Health to import the medication. We will be required to send a copy of that permit with your shipment of tablets. Request a permit by completing the Issue of Permit to Import Medications for Personal Use form.
